Last week in Cybersmart, Sharon taught us how to use scratch to create day and night scenes. Sharon modelled it for us, and then we gave it a go. We were able to choose our setting and draw our own backgrounds then we input a sun and coded it to make it go down. Next, we had a go at creating our night scene and we coded our moon to come up and sit in the sky. When we put it in present mode the scenes would repeat over and over again.  Finally, we took turns to share our learning with each other. We got into two long lines and shared our work with a buddy and as we made our way down the line we would share with a new buddy!

  1. Kia Ora Papatūānuku,

Thank you for your lovely comments on our blog, we loved reading them together.

We really enjoyed reading your blog post about what you have been doing with Sharon. Your Scratch creations are really wonderful, we have been learning about Space this week in our class. I wonder if you could teach us how to make a scratch moon video too?
